Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to share that Allison Botos Schilz, formerly counsel in the firm’s financial services litigation and compliance practice, has joined Finance of America Companies. In this role, she will provide regulatory and compliance support for its business lines, including residential mortgage loans, reverse mortgage loans, real estate investor loans and other financial services.

At Hunton Andrews Kurth, Schilz’s practice concentrated on federal and state compliance issues related to consumer financial services and was further expanded by her knowledge and experience of mortgage markets, consumer financial laws and regulations and state mortgage licensing. Schilz joined the firm’s Washington D.C. office in 2016 and relocated to the Charlotte office in 2018.

“We are excited for Allison, and while we will miss her, we wish her the very best in her new role,” said Jarrett Hale, co-leader of the financial services litigation and compliance practice. “She has been an invaluable member of our team, and expect that her skills, knowledge and acumen will be an asset to Finance of America.”

Schilz is a graduate of the University of Virginia and of Wake Forest University School of Law, and she has authored articles that have been published in the Real Estate Finance Journal, The Banking Law Journal and Law360.
