Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP special counsel Thomas G. Slater Jr. has been named to the Class of 2022 of the Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame.

Slater is chair emeritus for the firm’s litigation, labor and competition practices and has served as lead trial counsel for Fortune 100 companies in numerous class-action antitrust and patent infringement cases. He is a past president of the Richmond Bar Association and the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society and a former member of the Virginia State Bar Executive Committee.

Sponsored by Virginia Lawyers Weekly, the Hall of Fame recognizes Virginia lawyers who are at least 60 years old as well as posthumous honorees. Criteria for inclusion include career accomplishments, contributions to the development of the law in Virginia, contributions to the bar and to the Commonwealth at large and efforts to improve the quality of justice in Virginia.

The honorees will be celebrated at a reception on Feb. 22 at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond and will be profiled in Virginia Lawyers Weekly. A full list of honorees can be found here.
