Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP partner Ann Marie Mortimer was named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2020 Top Women Lawyers list.

The Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Mortimer among 75 female lawyers chosen for their “exceptional legal skill across the full spectrum of responsibility; exemplary leadership, as evidenced by the highest professional and ethical standards; and for contributions to the Los Angeles community at large.” The honored attorneys were featured in the April issue. This is the third year that Mortimer has received this recognition.

Mortimer advises clients in high stakes litigation, acting as lead counsel in cases involving exceptional complexity and multiple jurisdictions. As a strategic problem solver, focused on achieving business results in complex cases, Mortimer is adept at translating technical and scientific evidence into plain English for clients. She has handled an impressive volume of complex, high-profile cases involving cutting-edge class actions and multi-district litigation. She co-heads Hunton Andrews Kurth’s commercial litigation practice, is the founder and managing partner of the Los Angeles office, and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. Her cases have increasingly involved data breaches of some of the largest companies – she served as lead counsel in one of the largest data security incidents in history. Her cross-disciplinary practice includes complex business and class action consumer claims litigation experience, as well as environmental, CERCLA and toxic tort multi-party litigation.
