Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that partner Lisa Sotto has been named among SC Media’s 2020 Women in IT Security.

The award honors 20 women leaders “who have faced down security challenges, shaped the industry, and made a positive impact on the advancement of cybersecurity in government or the private sector.” This year, Sotto is the only honoree in the legal sector and was chosen for the Veterans category, which highlights five individuals who “have delivered consistent performance and innovation over long careers.”

“Known as “the high priestess of privacy” and the “queen of the breach,” Sotto has distinguished herself as an adviser, both to clients and to government,” said SC Media. Sotto chairs the firm’s top-ranked global privacy and cybersecurity practice and is the managing partner of the firm’s New York Office. She built the firm’s privacy and cybersecurity practice 20 years ago and has received widespread recognition for her work in this area.

Sotto is a previous SC Women in Security Power Player and now a SC Media 2020 Veteran.
