Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP partner Kathleen Wu was recognized as an “Influencer” among ALM Media’s GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum’s Women of Influence Awards 2021 in the CRE Legal Counsel category. This annual list spotlights accomplished and impactful women leaders who have influenced “the market and have significantly driven the industry to new heights via their outstanding successes” and their commitment to professional mentoring and community and civic endeavors.

Wu’s real estate transactions practice has a broad wingspan, serving a national clientele from Wall Street to California and crossing multiple industries and disciplines, including everything from hotel chains, governmental authorities, investment banks, and syndicators to real estate developers, lenders, loan servicers, and many other entities. With such a lofty reputation and loyal client base, she has maintained a spot on D Magazine’s Best Lawyers list since 2003. Wu’s advocacy for diversity and inclusion has also earned her many awards, including the Women of Color Achievement Award from the 100 Black Men of America, “Women of Spirit” Award from the American Jewish Congress and the Justice David Wellington Chew Award from the State Bar of Texas. She is also well known for her civic engagement, serving as chairperson of the Board of Regents for Texas Women’s University, as well as President of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Foundation, and will soon join the Board of Trustees of the Southwestern Medical Foundation. Wu was also recently inducted into the Philosophical Society of Texas, and as an active member of ReBuilding Together, she serves on their Board of Directors.

Wu will be highlighted in the July/August issue of Real Estate Forum, the monthly email newsletter and GlobeSt.com, which will include Wu’s profile and the complete list of award recipients.
