Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to announce its support of the 2023 Houston Walk to End Alzheimer’s as a Route Sponsor. Taking place on November 4, 2023, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Funds raised from the highly anticipated event will directly support Alzheimer’s Association’s mission to accelerate global research, drive risk reduction and early detection, and maximize quality care and support for all those facing Alzheimer’s.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. An estimated 50 million people worldwide are living with dementia. In the United States alone, more than 6 million have Alzheimer’s, and over 11 million are providing unpaid care. The Association addresses this crisis by providing education and support to the millions who face dementia every day, while advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.

“Our firm is committed to making a positive impact, and we believe it is important to support organizations that are making a difference in people's lives,” said partner John Shely. “We are proud to support this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s and applaud the critically important work that Alzheimer’s Association is doing for those suffering from this devastating disease.”

Hunton Andrews Kurth also sponsored the 2022 Houston Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which raised over $884,000. The 2023 event is expected to be even bigger and more impactful.
