Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP successfully raised over $35,000 in support of the Legal Aid DC Making Justice Real Campaign.  The firm has proudly supported the campaign for more than 30 years, and this year’s efforts yielded the highest amount of money raised in the history of the firm’s participation.  Fundraising efforts were coordinated by Reiko Koyama, Brianne Reese, Nicholas Drews, and Julia Casciotti.

The Making Justice Real Campaign helps provide Legal Aid DC with the resources it needs to support DC’s most vulnerable residents.  The District has some of the highest rates of economic and racial inequality in the country—Legal Aid helps to close the access to this justice gap by assisting District residents in a wide range of civil legal matters related to housing, domestic violence, family law, access to public benefits, immigration, criminal records, debt collection, and more.

"Participation in the Legal Aid Campaign is a summer tradition at Hunton, and we are thrilled to have another record-breaking success for such a worthwhile cause,”  said Koyama.  “No one deserves this more than the dedicated attorneys and staff at Legal Aid.”  Funds from this year’s Campaign will help Legal Aid provide legal services to thousands of residents in need.  Additional details on the Campaign and Hunton Andrews Kurth’s involvement, can be found here.
