Michael Messonnier (Energy & Infrastructure, Richmond) advises clients on regulatory, transmission planning, interconnection, finance and market design matters for domestic and international energy sector clients. His practice centers around representing Independent System Operators (“ISOs”) and other energy sector clients in their dealings with federal and state regulatory agencies and reliability organizations, in the design and operation of ISO markets, in transmission planning and interconnection matters, in the development and application of finance rules and on various corporate governance matters. Messonnier received his undergraduate degree from Oglethorpe University and his law degree from Tulane University, magna cum laude.

Allison Tanton (Tax & ERISA, Houston) focuses her practice on estate planning and estate and trust administration. She has experience with various aspects of wealth transfer planning, including estate, gift and generation-skipping tax issues and filings, probate, business succession planning and related transactions and philanthropic matters. She works with clients to prepare estate plans specifically tailored toward family, business and charitable objectives. Tanton received her undergraduate degree from Middlebury College, cum laude, and her law degree and LLM in Tax from Northwestern University, with honors.
