Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to share that Brittany Zamborsky, formerly Government Affairs Advisor on the firm’s full-service public affairs consultancy, has joined the AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), a Fortune 500 global energy company accelerating the future of energy. In her new role as manager of state government affairs for AES, she will focus on the expansion of renewable energy in Virginia, New York, and other East Coast states within AES’ renewable energy footprint.

At Hunton Andrews Kurth, Zamborsky’s practice focused on government affairs, lobbying and grassroots advocacy in which she supported clients by drafting legislation, testifying before legislative committees, monitoring executive and legislative branch hearings, study groups and task forces, developing and implementing legislative strategies and administering political action committees. Zamborsky joined the firm’s Richmond office in 2015.

“Brittany was a consummate teammate and an outstanding contributor to the consultancy’s Virginia state government relations work. Although we hate to lose her, we are very happy for her and incredibly proud of her as she takes advantage of this new opportunity with AES,” said Todd Haymore, managing director of Hunton Andrews Kurth’s global economic development, commerce and government relations practice.

Brittany is a graduate of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where she received her MPA and her BA in International Relations.
