On March 19, 2020, Inter-American Investment Corporation (“IDB Invest”), acting on behalf of Inter-American Development Bank (“IDB”), and as agent on behalf of IDB, in its capacity as administrator of the Canadian Climate Fund for the Private Sector in the Americas (“C2F”), closed on a secured loan facility to Bright Mexico Solar Holdings II, S. de R.L. de C.V. (“Bright”) to finance distributed generation solar projects in Mexico. The IDB loan was for an amount up to MXN$ 228,391,500 and the C2F loan was for an MXN$ equivalent amount up to $5,000,000. The first disbursement occurred on May 21, 2020. The proceeds of the loan facility will be used by Bright to purchase rooftop solar PV systems installed and leased to residential users in Mexico.

The U.S.-based firm of Blohm Law, P.C. advised Bright as US counsel while local legal advice to Bright was provided by Greenberg Traurig, S.C.
