Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised the purchasers in connection with Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company’s (the “Company”) issuance of (i) $180 million aggregate principal amount of its 5.75% First Mortgage Bonds, Series 2023B, Trance A due 2029, (ii) $105 million aggregate principal amount of its 5.91% First Mortgage Bonds, Series 2023B, Tranche B due 2030 and (iii) $185 million aggregate principal amount of its 6.00% First Mortgage Bonds, Series 2023B, Tranche C due 2034 (collectively, the “Bonds”), in a private placement under Section 4(a)(2) of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. The Bonds were issued on October 13, 2023.

The Company is an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of CenterPoint Energy, Inc. The Company provides energy delivery services to electric and natural gas customers located in and near Evansville in southwestern Indiana and owns and operates electric generation assets to serve its electric customers and optimizes those assets in the wholesale power market.
