Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises IDB Invest in A/B Loan to JMMB Bank (Jamaica) Limited

On December 23, 2020, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (“IDB Invest”) closed on an unsecured $50 million A/B loan facility to JMMB Bank (Jamaica) Limited (“JMMB”). The proceeds of the loan will be used by JMMB to make sub-loans to small and medium-sized enterprises and to finance low-and medium-income housing portfolios in Jamaica.

The U.S.-based firm of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised IDB Invest as international counsel. Jamaican legal advice to IDB Invest was provided by Chancellor & Co.
