GECON Team Secures Site Selection and Incentives for Bridgetown Natural Foods

The Global Economic Development, Commerce & Government Relations (GECON) team of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP provided site selection service and incentive negotiation services to Bridgetown Natural Foods, LLC in its recent project to locate a new east coast facility. Bridgetown Natural Foods is a manufacturing partner for leading all-natural, organic and gluten-free snack brands, and the project involved a $78 million investment and the creation of 219 new jobs in Wilson County, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville.
To facilitate the project, Lee Downey, GECON’s Director of Economic and Business Development, led a seven-state search for locations, received multiple proposals, evaluated incentive packages and ultimately coordinated with the state of Tennessee, the Tennessee Valley Authority and local officials to finalize a site selection and incentive package for Bridgetown. During the course of the project the team worked with local and state officials in Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
