As the newest member of Hunton Andrews Kurth’s environmental practice, Wall brings to the firm 11 years of experience at EPA, which includes having served as an Acting Legal Branch Chief in OECA’s Office of Site Remediation Enforcement.

During his tenure at EPA, Wall’s responsibilities included leading teams of attorneys and workgroups charged with developing and executing the agency’s national response and enforcement strategies under federal environmental statutes, including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

He also led multiple workgroups responsible for implementing recommendations from the EPA Administrator’s Superfund Task Force and a national team of attorneys from all 10 EPA Regions and EPA Headquarters developing EPA’s response to evolving areas of CERCLA liability law.

In addition, Wall served as a national EPA subject matter expert and point of contact with the U.S. Department of Justice for select CERCLA liability issues and as the lead EPA case attorney on CERCLA and RCRA cleanup enforcement actions.

Prior to joining EPA, Wall was in private practice for over five years in Washington, D.C., where he focused on chemical regulation under the Toxic Substances Control Act and the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act, and environmental representation of clients in business transactions and securities offerings.

Wall earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Tufts University. He is an adjunct professor at William & Mary Law School.
