Daily Journal Names Shannon S. Broome Among 2021 Top 100 Lawyers in California

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that partner Shannon S. Broome has been recognized among the 2021 Top 100 Lawyers in California by the Daily Journal. This West Coast-ranking highlights only 100 lawyers practicing and barred in California, who have made a difference to their clients, their firms, and their profession. Broome is the only environmental lawyer named to the list this year.

Broome is the managing partner of the San Francisco office, leads the California environmental practice, and co-leads the firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance practice. She is frequently sought by Fortune 50 energy and manufacturing companies for her litigation and negotiation skills and has nearly 30 years of experience challenging and defending EPA and California regulations, defending enforcement actions before federal, state, and appellate courts and agencies, and obtaining complex permits from federal and state agencies. Broome was recognized this year in particular for her noteworthy defense of a major corporation’s plant expansion in the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, as well as for her representation of a coalition of national industry trade associations regarding new EPA regulatory actions.

This is the third time in the past several years that Broome has been selected to the Daily Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers list and her fifth year of selection to the Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers list (which was announced in May).
