Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is proud to share that New York partner and co-chair of the firm’s global real estate practice, Laurie Grasso, has been named to the Notable in Real Estate list by Crain’s New York Business. This list honors executives who have impacted New York City real estate industry in major ways.

This recognition comes on the heels of Crain’s recently recognizing Grasso to their annual list of Notable Women in Law.

The award recognizes honorees based within the New York City metro area with career professional achievements in real estate, in addition to community and philanthropic activities, mentoring programs and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Grasso was one of a few lawyers selected for the award.

Grasso embraces the latter accomplishments, helping to spearhead the firm’s legal partnership with Project Destined and serving as co-chair for Rebuilding New York’s “She Builds” program.

Crain’s New York Business noted that Grasso “has earned a reputation for being able to adeptly handle any type of real estate deal,” and “often acts as in-house counsel for her clients and becomes a trusted member of their businesses.”

Additionally, in their Notable Women in Law listing, Grasso was touted as “a well-rounded dealmaker” and “whose professional insights are prized by industry publications,” while being “involved in several organizations that seek to foster diversity in real estate.”

Grasso has a client roster that includes private equity funds, institutional REITs, investors and other property owners. She frequently represents them in connection with the structuring and closing of real estate transactions, such as acquisitions and dispositions, developments, financings, portfolio transactions, preferred equity investments, leasing and real estate joint ventures.
