(Houston, Texas)—Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that partners Mike O’Leary and Tim Unger were selected as key players in the Houston Business Journal’s “Who’s Who in Energy” 2014 list.

This energy expert list focuses on individuals providing services in a number of different areas, such as law, finance, government and education, oil and gas, and technology.

Mr. O’Leary has an extensive corporate securities and mergers and acquisitions practice, with particular emphasis on representation of issuers and underwriters in public and private offerings of equity and debt securities; representation of buyers, sellers and special committees in mergers and acquisitions (domestic and foreign, including Europe, South America and the Middle East); redemptions and exchanges of corporate debt; negotiating complex partnership arrangements and joint ventures; structuring spin-offs and "going private" transactions; and corporate governance. He has a significant reputation in master limited partnerships, energy and oilfield services, pipeline company transactions, royalty trusts and forest products companies. He received his J.D. in 1980, with honors, from the University of Houston Law Center and his B.S., cum laude, in Finance from the University of Alabama in 1977.

Mr. Unger represents a variety of corporate and institutional clients. In recent years, his practice has focused on mergers and acquisitions and project development and financing, including project finance and structured finance as well as mergers and acquisitions primarily in the energy (both upstream, midstream and downstream) and chemical businesses, both domestic and international. He has worked on numerous energy transactions in North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Tim received his J.D. in 1974, with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law, where he was Order of the Coif and on the Texas Law Review. He earned his A.B. in 1969, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
