(Houston, Texas)—Andrews Kurth Partner Tammy W. Brennig has been named to the National Advisory Board of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) Foundation for Research and Education.

The NALP Foundation conducts research about legal careers and the law as a profession. It recently completed the first longitudinal study of lawyer careers, providing benchmark research on associate retention and documenting attorney contributions to public service. The National Advisory Board is a select group of legal professionals who provide periodic advice and counsel to the Foundation's President/CEO and Board of Trustees. The Advisory Board’s input helps ensure the Foundation’s research is conducted efficiently and is relevant to the legal profession.

“I am honored to serve on the NALP Foundation's Advisory Board,” Ms. Brennig says. “The Foundation provides a valuable service to the legal profession, enabling us to see both the forest and the trees while meeting the demands of a changing legal population. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day practice of the law, so this will give me an opportunity to give back to the profession that has given me so much.”

A partner in the firm's Houston office, Ms. Brennig’s legal practice includes a broad range of financing, commercial real estate, project finance, derivative and telecommunications transactions. She represents financial institutions, sponsors, equity investors and project companies in a variety of financing matters.

Ms. Brennig was appointed to a two-year term on the Advisory Board.
