(Houston, Texas)—Andrews Kurth Kenyon is pleased to announce that the National Diversity Council has named Houston Partner Tammy Brennig and Dallas Partner Kathleen Wu as "Top Women in Law".

The 2017 Top 50 Women in Law selection was based on the following criteria:

Ms. Brennig is a highly-regarded, long-time corporate finance partner. She has an extensive practice that includes representation of financial institutions, institutional investors and corporate borrowers in all types of secured and unsecured financing transactions, including acquisition financings, asset based lending, reserve based lending, master limited partnership (MLP) financing, multi-currency credit facilities, floor plan financing, first lien/second lien transactions and debt restructuring. She routinely represents large commercial banks in connection with syndicated credit facilities to both public and private borrowers in a broad range of industries, including upstream and midstream energy and oil field services, technology, construction, automotive, death care, financial products and services, and real estate. Ms. Brennig has been with the firm for nearly 20 years. In 2013, she was appointed firmwide hiring partner. She is currently serving on the firm’s Policy Committee, the firm’s governing body, and currently sits on numerous other firm committees, including the Associates Committee, Business Intake Committee, Diversity Committee, Partners Committee and Women’s Initiative Team. She received her J.D. in 1992 from South Texas College of Law and her B.B.A. from Lamar University in 1990.

Ms. Wu's practice is concentrated in the areas of real estate, finance and business transactions. Her broad-based representation includes all aspects of the acquisition, management and disposition of real estate, the origination and servicing of loans, hospitality industry matters, private-public partnerships and general business matters. As a long-time partner at Andrews Kurth Kenyon, Ms. Wu brings a unique breadth and depth of experience across the spectrum of business and finance transactions to a broad-based national clientele. She has held leadership roles within the firm including Managing Partner of the Dallas office, Hiring Partner of the Dallas office, and currently sits on a number of firm committees, including the Women's Initiative Team, Compensation Committee, Finance Committee and the Policy Committee. She received her J.D. in 1985 from The George Washington University Law School and her B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University in 1982.
