The Death of USD LIBOR; Long Live SOFR: Understanding USD LIBOR’s Final Phase and Mastering the Transition to SOFR

Thursday, March 2, 2023
12:30–2:00 pm (ET) / 11:30–2:00 pm (CT) / 9:30–11:00 am (PT)

This CLE program, led by Amy Williams and Tina Locatelli, will discuss the end of USD LIBOR on June 30, 2023 and outline remediation options for LIBOR-based instruments.  Topics to be discussed include:

  • The US Adjustable Interest Rate (LIBOR) Act and the contracts to which it applies;
  • The potential impact of the likely publication of synthetic USD LIBOR for 1, 3 and 6 month tenors;
  • Amending existing agreements to adopt SOFR-based rates; and
  • Issues to consider in implementing alternatives rates and best practices for future benchmark replacement language.

We strongly encourage all lawyers with clients who either (1) lend or borrow money or (2) issue or underwrite securities to attend this program.
