Our annual ethics program — co-sponsored by the Association of Corporate Counsel (National Capital Region) — will be held live in our Richmond office and via Zoom and video conference to our other offices on Thursday, October 19. This year, Kelly Faglioni will be joined by Partners Amy Williams and Christian Pugaczewski and Associates Tyler Grant and Madeline Culbreth.

About the Program
Avoid an ethics “aca”tasrophe when getting your “pitch” to potential clients. You too can “crush it” if you know the professional rules related to advertising, referrals, and use of social media to “pitch” your services or experience. This program will review the evolution of ethical rules addressing attorney advertising and the current professional rules important for attorney marketing, highlighting still significant variation in state versions of the pertinent ABA Model Rules.

With a “Pitch Perfect” theme, the panel will review specific examples and ask the audience to decide if the examples are “real” or “not real” (drawn from actual cases or headlines or constructed hypotheticals) and then discusses applicable rules and guidance.
