September 14, 2020 – Hunton Andrews Kurth is pleased to announce that Christopher Pardo has been named as one of the Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 honorees of 2020. This list recognizes 40 professionals in the Boston area “who are making a difference in their businesses and communities.” With more than 400 nominations, the recognized individuals were selected based on their career accomplishments, their drive to succeed, and their commitment to serving the community at large.

Pardo is a partner in the firm’s Boston office, which recently opened in March 2018, and has grown exponentially. His practice focuses on the defense of complex employment cases and commercial litigation in federal and state courts, in arbitration, and before administrative agencies. Pardo has prosecuted and defended trade secret and restrictive covenant cases, has defended wage and hour class and collective actions, and has advised clients in an array of other complex employment and commercial litigation and arbitration matters.

He has balanced his representation of major Fortune 500 clients in the retail, energy and technology industries nationwide with maintaining a sense of loyalty to his Boston home base and his smaller, regional clients that are part of the greater New England community. Pardo regularly presents on a variety of Labor & Employment issues at national ABA and HNBA conferences, as well as for the Boston Bar Association, and is a member of the Boston Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Steering Committee. Pardo also focuses on providing his corporate clients and their executive leadership with timely and thoughtful preventative business advice, including with respect to COVID-19 and compliance with state and federal employment laws nationwide.

Pardo is active in his promotion of diversity in the community through leadership roles with the Hispanic National Bar Association, including serving multiple terms as the co-chair of the HNBA’s Labor & Employment Committee. Within Hunton Andrews Kurth, Pardo was recently nominated to serve on the Diversity & Inclusion Committee and was named Co-Chair of the Minority Lawyers Subcommittee, which provides Chris with a platform to assist in the firm’s growing diversity and inclusion initiatives.

A full list of the honorees can be found here. Pardo and the other honorees will be featured in a special publication of the Boston Business Journal later in October.
