WASHINGTON — September 22, 2016 — Hunton & Williams LLP has been named one of the 2016 Best Workplaces for Women by global research and consulting firm Great Place to Work® and Fortune magazine. Based on anonymous feedback from women in Great Place to Work-Certified organizations, the list highlights the 100 workplaces that received the highest rankings in areas such as internal communication, professional development and work/life balance. Rankings also reflect how well-represented women are in the workforces overall and in management and executive positions. Hunton & Williams was one of only five law firms to make the list.

“We are very proud to have attained this recognition,” stated Wally Martinez, managing partner of the firm. “Hunton & Williams is committed to developing and maintaining an inclusive, vibrant, and innovative workplace that is welcoming to all.”

Hunton & Williams maintains a dynamic diversity program designed to attract and develop a workforce that is representative of the firm’s global law practice. Among the firm’s workplace programs that speak directly to the needs of women are flexible and reduced-hours work arrangements, a concierge program, emergency back-up child and adult care, child care leave and accommodations for new mothers transitioning back to full-time employment. In addition, a strong professional development curriculum offers leadership and business development training as well as formal and informal mentoring and networking opportunities.

In addition to the above recognition, Hunton & Williams has been included among the “50 Best Law Firms for Women” by Working Mother Media and Flex-Time Lawyers seven of the nine years the list has been published.
