Board Certified in Labor & Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, for the last 20 years, Stephanie’s practice has focused on complex labor and employment matters, litigating high-stakes cases in both federal and state courts and before arbitrators and administrative tribunals, as well as managing large dockets of single-plaintiff cases.
Stephanie has extensive experience defending corporate clients in discrimination and harassment class actions brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and class and multiplaintiff actions brought by private individuals. She also has a proven track record of protecting employer proprietary interests through enforcement and defense of noncompetition and confidentiality agreements. Her representations encompass Fortune 500 companies, large and mid-size businesses, insurers, major retailers, and manufacturers in a diverse range of industries including technology, transportation, restaurant, hospitality, retail, professional staffing, and manufacturing.
Stephanie regularly represents employers before state and federal governmental agencies with respect to claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, unfair labor practices, and wage and hour claims and investigations. She also advises her clients in connection with a wide range of strategic employment decisions such as reductions in force, labor union relations, internal audits and investigations, compliance, and litigation avoidance, as well as day-to-day employee relations matters such as discipline, termination, leave, and accommodation.
Stephanie is admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court, US Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Tenth Circuit, and US District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western District of Texas.
