The London office of Hunton Andrews Kurth (Hunton Andrews Kurth (UK) LLP) seeks an associate with two to four years’ experience in structured/alternative finance law to join the Structured Finance and Securitisation Practice Group.

Main duties of the role include:

  • Drafting sophisticated finance documents
  • Reviewing structures and articulating issues and advice, both verbally and in writing
  • Researching and keeping up to date with the structured/alternative finance industry and related law

Our ideal candidate will have:


  • Two to four years’ post-qualification experience in structured/alternative finance law
  • Significant experience in sophisticated financing matters, having worked for a prominent City/US law firm
  • A strong academic background
  • Outstanding analytical ability
  • Excellent writing skills and be detail-oriented
  • Able to demonstrate leadership and initiative
  • Display an interest in a client-centered practice
  • Ability to work effectively as a contributing member within a team of lawyers in the firm’s business practice group
  • Qualification in England & Wales, or a commitment to complete the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme and qualify as a solicitor of England and Wales, within 18 months of joining the firm.
