Global Privacy and Cybersecurity Associate

Years of Experience: The New York office of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP seeks an entry level or junior associate to join the Global Privacy and Cybersecurity practice group. Candidates should have up to two years of experience (class of 2023 – class of 2021), which includes handling privacy and cybersecurity matters. Ideally, the candidate will have experience assisting with: (i) data breach response and cybersecurity preparedness activities, (ii) compliance with existing and emerging privacy law frameworks in the US and internationally; and/or iii) regulatory investigations relating to privacy and data security issues.  Large law firm experience, an excellent academic record, exceptional analytical and writing skills, and a keen interest in the field of privacy and data security is desired.  Candidates should also have the desire to be part of an internationally-recognized privacy practice while working as a true team player in a collegial environment.  New York bar membership is strongly preferred but, in any event, required within one year of commencing employment. At the time of posting, the expected salary range for this position is $215,000 to $225,000. Actual salary offers may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to, education, training, skill sets, licensure and certifications, practice area, experience, internal equity, and market data.
