The Bangkok-based Energy and Infrastructure Team (EIT) of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP seeks a Thai-qualified associate with at least two to four years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, energy and infrastructure projects, or banking and finance to join our increasingly expanding cross-border Asia practice consisting of US/UK and Thai qualified lawyers. The ideal candidate should have substantive experience in sophisticated transactional matters in these focus areas, having worked for a prominent business law firm or with an in-house legal department of a multinational corporation in Bangkok or regionally. Candidates should also have strong academic background, outstanding analytical ability, self-discipline and potential for practice leadership, and possess the maturity, judgment and confidence to take ownership of increasingly difficult assignments and work independently with clients and colleagues on complex projects in Thailand and internationally. We expect the successful candidate would also help to expand our presence and develop strong client relationships in Thailand and throughout Asia.

  • Thai lawyer license is required. Thai bar membership would be a plus, but is not required.
  • International working experience with US, UK or similar qualification would also be a plus, but is not required.
  • Master of Law (LLM) or equivalent advanced degree from overseas would also be an advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Thai and English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team of lawyers in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual setting.
