WASHINGTON — February 13, 2015 — Hunton & Williams LLP partners Wally Martinez and Robert Grey were recently named to the Lawyers of Color’s Annual Power List for the second year in a row. The list is a comprehensive catalog of the nation’s most influential minority attorneys and non-minority diversity advocates. Honorees will be profiled in the Lawyers of Color Power Issue 2015 and will be recognized on March 18 during a reception at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown in Washington, D.C.

Martinez, a founding member of Hunton & Williams’ Miami office, has served as managing partner of the firm since 2006. His practice focuses on complex business litigation and white collar criminal defense. In addition to his legal practice, Martinez has supported the work of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) since its inception. He served as chair of LCLD’s Board of Directors in 2012 and continues to serve on the board as a member and immediate past chair. Martinez also is a member of the NALP Foundation Board of Trustees and the University of Pennsylvania Law School Alumni Society Board of Managers.

Grey, whose practice at Hunton & Williams focuses on regulatory, administrative and government-relations matters before state and local governments and their agencies, serves as president of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, a leadership role he has held for the past four years. In this role, he works with general counsel from major companies and managing partners from leading law firms to help advance the nonprofit organization’s mission of increasing diversity within the legal profession. Since 2010, Grey has been a board member of the Legal Services Corporation, the nation's largest provider of civil legal assistance to the poor. He also served as ABA President from 2004 to 2005.
