Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that The National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) has awarded Washington-based counsel, Andrew (Drew) Kintzinger with The Frederick O. Kiel Distinguished Service Award for his extraordinary service to NABL over an extended period of time.

“Throughout his career, Drew Kintzinger has served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, disclosure counsel, bank counsel, and borrower’s counsel on governmental and 501(c)(3) bond issues; Drew also has handled IRS examinations and other tax controversy matters as well as SEC and MSRB regulatory and enforcement matters,” said NABL president-elect and awards committee chair, Joseph (Jodie) E. Smith.

Kintzinger has a history of service to NABL – he served as NABL’s president from 1994-95, has served as a steering committee member and panelist at NABL’s educational conferences and taught public finance courses as an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center. He currently authors the “Federal Securities Law” column in The Bond Lawyer.

NABL's mission is to promote the integrity of the municipal market by advancing the understanding of and compliance with the law affecting public finance. Founded in 1979, NABL has approximately 2,700 members and is headquartered in Washington, DC.

The award will be presented at NABL's Annual Membership Meeting at The Workshop: Hybrid 2022 on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at The Chicago Hilton.
