Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that partners Ann Marie Mortimer and Roland Juarez were named to the 2020 Leaders of Influence: Top Litigators & Trial Lawyers list by the Los Angeles Business Journal for the second year in a row.

With more than 300 nominations this year, the list recognizes 50 litigators chosen by the Los Angeles Business Journal as “attorneys who go to the proverbial mat to fight for their clients before judges and jury [and] transcend expert comprehension of the legal system.” Their work, dedication, and the overall firm success were all benchmarks in determining the honorees.

Mortimer co-heads Hunton Andrews Kurth’s commercial litigation practice, is the founder and managing partner of the Los Angeles office, and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. Her cases have increasingly involved data breaches of some of the largest companies – she served as lead counsel in one of the largest data security incidents in history. Her cross-disciplinary practice includes complex business and class action consumer claims litigation experience, as well as environmental, CERCLA and toxic tort multi-party litigation. Mortimer was also recently named as one of the Top Women Lawyers for the third time by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

A partner in the firm’s labor and employment practice, Roland handles high-stakes employment cases with an innovative approach. His experience includes class actions, non-compete, non-solicitation and employee raiding cases, discrimination, harassment, disability, wage and hour, PAGA and Title III website accessibility cases. He recently secured several trial and arbitration wins in wage and hour cases and various discrimination cases, including precedent setting wins in several industries. He was also named one of the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Top Minority Attorneys.
