RICHMOND, VA — April 9, 2013 — Hunton & Williams LLP announces Thurston R. Moore and Whittington W. "Whitt" Clement were named by Virginia Business among the "50 Most Influential Virginians" of 2013. This honor recognizes Virginians who are building businesses, starting ventures and having an effect on important issues such as higher education, transportation, economic development, philanthropy, the arts, health care and energy; those who are having a big impact in the state of Virginia.

Clement's practice focuses on transportation infrastructure, government affairs and lobbying. As head of the state government relations team, he represents business and industry before the Virginia General Assembly on a variety of economic development incentives, state incentives and legislative matters. He has served as President of the Virginia Bar Association, Chairman of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, and Secretary of Transportation for former Governor Mark Warner.

Moore's practice focuses on corporate and securities representation, with particular emphasis on corporate financing and governance, venture capital, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and partnership law. He is chairman emeritus of Hunton & Williams. He served as chairman of the firm’s Executive Committee from 2005 to 2012; prior to this, he was managing partner of the firm from 1991 to 2006. Currently, Moore is Chairman of the board Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, past Chair of the Virginia Nature Conservancy, and President and Trustee of the Mary Morton Parsons Foundation.
