Alonso was named a "Latin America Legal Star," one of the top 50 foreign lawyers operating in Latin America by Latin Business Chronicle for 2012. Fernando serves as chairman of the firm's Latin America practice group, and focuses his practice on corporate and securities, banking, and international fields. Latin Business Chronicle selected its "Top 50" lawyers based on a number of criteria, including involvement in recent significant deals and transactions in Latin America, the prominence of Latin America within their law firm, the importance of their law firm in Latin America, and rankings by third parties such as Chambers.
