In an effort to support the Houston community, a $130,000 charitable donation has been made to the Houston Food Bank and other regional charities on behalf of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP and Riveron Consulting LLC.

Hunton Andrews Kurth recently advised Riveron in its role as liquidating trustee of a trust established in connection with an organization’s 2020 Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Hunton Andrews Kurth advised on all legal aspects of fully administering the trust over the course of the representation, including matters pertaining to expediently issuing distribution payments to the trust beneficiaries and winding down the trust.

The diligent and efficient efforts of Riveron and Hunton Andrews Kurth’s team, which included Tad Davidson, Ashley Harper and Catherine Rankin, resulted in the trust being fully administered in just under two years. Pursuant to the terms of the trust agreement approved by the bankruptcy court, the remaining corpus of the trust was donated to the Houston Food Bank and other regional charities on behalf of Riveron and the firm.

“We are committed to supporting and enhancing the communities in which we live and work,” said Davidson, partner and co-leader of the firm’s bankruptcy and restructuring practice. “The Houston Food Bank provides a critical service to the Greater Houston community, and we are proud to partner with Riveron to support such an meaningful organization.”
