Hunton Andrews Kurth Represents IDB Invest in R$197 Million Loan to Bioenergética Aroeira S.A.

On December 21, 2022, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest) closed on a R$197 million secured loan to Bioenergética Aroeira S.A., a sociedade anônima organized and existing under the laws of Brazil (Bioenergética Aroeira). Bioenergética Aroeira, which provides agriculture processing services, will use the proceeds of the loan to increase sugarcane crushing capacity to scale-up its sugar and ethanol outputs, co-generation of electricity through the burning of sugarcane bagasse, and both its sugarcane supply and warehousing accordingly.
