Hunton Andrews Kurth Represents IDB Invest in $5 Million Loan to Companex (Bolivia), S.A.

On April 30, 2019, the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest) closed on a $5 million secured loan facility to Companex (Bolivia) S.A., a sociedad anónima organized and existing under the laws of the Plurinational State of Bolivia (the Borrower).

The proceeds of the loan will be used by the Borrower to finance its working capital requirements, which include purchases of merchandise produced in the member countries of IDB Invest and subsequently sold in Bolivia and the extension of loans to its customer base consisting of small grocery stores throughout Bolivia.

The U.S. based firm of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP advised IDB Invest as international counsel. Bolivian legal advice to IDB Invest was provided by Bufete Aguirre, Quintanilla, Soria & Nishizawa Soc. Civ.
