Gil O. Acevedo (Capital Finance & Real Estate, Miami) represents investors, developers and lenders in commercial real estate transactions in the US and Latin America involving the financing, leasing, acquisition and disposition of retail, hospitality and office buildings, multi-family apartment buildings, vacant land, mixed-use developments and luxury residential condominium units and single-family residences. He brings over 17 years of real estate experience to the Capital Finance & Real Estate team and is frequently recognized by national and local publications. Acevedo received an undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida, a law degree from the Western Michigan University’s Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a master of laws degree in Real Property Development from the University of Miami School of Law.

Holly A. Brady (Corporate, Richmond) advises clients on a broad range of complex privacy, cybersecurity and data protection matters, including monitoring and assessing new and emerging requirements across the globe. Additionally, she assists clients in identifying, evaluating and managing global privacy and information security risks and compliance issues and further works with clients to address any privacy and data protection issues, including data breaches and cybersecurity incidents. Brady received her undergraduate degree from Eastern New Mexico University and her law degree from William & Mary Law School.

Christopher J. Dufek (Litigation, Washington) focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, including civil, class action and international matters. He represents clients as both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of cases dealing with antitrust, RICO, securities, consumer protection, fraud, tort and contractual disputes among other types of class and business litigation. He is experienced with all facets of litigation, including internal and pre-filing investigations, electronic discovery, depositions, witness preparation, motion practice, trial appellate review and settlement. Dufek received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.

Latosha M. Ellis (Litigation, Washington) regularly advises and represents clients on major forms of insurance coverage, with a focus on cyber, employment practices liability and professional liability. From advising clients at policy renewal and through the claims process to representing clients in litigation or alternative dispute resolution of coverage disputes, she delivers comprehensive end-to-end counsel. Ellis received her undergraduate degree from University of Cincinnati, her masters from Xavier University and her law degree from University of Richmond School of Law.

James Henderson (Corporate, London) focuses his practice on all aspects of data protection, privacy and information security law. He advises a broad range of clients on all areas of UK, EU and global data protection laws, from general compliance issues, cross-border data transfers, contracting, direct marketing, data breach and cyber incident response to cutting-edge technology issues, such as social media, online behavioral advertising, anonymization and other technology matters. Henderson received his law degree from University College London.

Mike J. Hoffman (Corporate, Houston) counsels clients in general corporate and securities matters with a particular emphasis on companies in the oil and gas industry. He assists on US capital markets transactions, including public and private offerings of debt and equity securities as well as advises companies in connection with periodic SEC reporting, corporate governance and compliance matters. Hoffman received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his law degree from University of Houston Law Center, cum laude.

Johanna L. Orleski (Capital Finance & Real Estate, Richmond) represents clients on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, joint venture negotiation and leasing. She regularly represents real estate developers in connection with new real estate projects through the country, with a special emphasis on multi-family and mixed use developments. She also often represents borrowers seeking financing for multi-family projects from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Orleski received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University and her law degree from William & Mary Law School, where she graduated second in her class and Order of the Coif.

Anna Pateraki (Corporate, Brussels) focuses her practice on global and European data protection law, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). She advises clients across a range of sectors on developing global compliance programs, devising data transfer strategies, negotiating data processing agreements and handling personal data breaches. She also focuses on cutting-edge privacy issues, such as assessing privacy risks in connection with Artificial Intelligence (AI) issues. Pateraki received her law degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and her master of laws degree from Humboldt University of Berlin.

Jacob J. Struck (Litigation, Boston) represents multinational corporate clients in a wide array of complex commercial litigation disputes, including retail and consumer products, energy, media and entertainment, technology and financial services. He has overseen and lead matters from onset to trial including disputes involving consumer class actions, securities litigation, intellectual property, breach of contract, employment law and insurance coverage disputes. He has a particular focus in representing clients in major litigation that is bound for trial – having played a significant role in securing favorable jury verdicts for his clients. Struck received his undergraduate degree from University of Iowa and his law degree from Boston College Law School.

Raegan R.J. Watchman (Capital Finance & Real Estate, Dallas) advises financial institutions in lending transactions and related banking matters, including asset-based loans, syndicated credit facilities, tax-exempt financings and commercial real estate transactions. He has experience representing commercial banks, asset-based lenders and other financial enterprises in connection with secured and unsecured credit facilities. Watchman received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his masters and law degrees from Duke University School of Law.
