Hunton Andrews Kurth Advises Corporación Andina de Fomento, Development Bank of Latin America, in $200 Million Loan Facility

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP recently advised Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF), Development Bank of Latin America, in connection with its $200 million loan facility from Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA).

The transaction, which closed July 27, 2020 will finance CAF’s assistance programs designed to address the social and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Latin America. CAF, a development bank owned by 19 countries — 17 from Latin America and the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal — as well as 13 private banks in the region, promotes a sustainable development model through credit operations, non-reimbursable resources, and support in the technical and financial structuring of projects in the public and private sectors of Latin America.
