Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP was named to The National Law Journal’s Appellate Hot List for the second consecutive year. The list recognizes top law firms that have “won key matters before the U.S. Supreme Court and federal courts of appeals, staying true to their practice philosophies along the way.”

Hunton Andrews Kurth has an accomplished issues-and-appeals practice, co-chaired by Stuart Raphael and Elbert Lin.  Elbert spoke to The National Law Journal about some of the firm’s top wins, including two at the U.S. Supreme Court involving the Clean Water Act.

Elbert also emphasized the importance of teamwork to the firm’s appellate practice, noting that while appellate practice “is often perceived as a monastic endeavor, filled with days of solitary reading and writing,” appellate lawyers are “at their best when they collaborate with each other and work hand-in-hand with trial teams and subject-matter experts.”
