Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is an winner of the Daily Business Review’s annual Florida Legal Awards for Diversity & Inclusion: Firm. Limited to just four law firms in the state, the award highlights distinguished members of the legal community.

The firm was recognized for its First-Generation Pathways program, aimed at providing mentoring to first generation law students. It consists of a series of conversations between lawyers at the firm and first-generation law students attending Florida A&M University College of Law and the University of Florida Levin College of Law, among others.

First-Generation Pathways is one of two pilot programs developed from summer associate Hackathon proposals. The initiative is part of the firm’s overall effort to increase diversity and inclusion in the legal industry and foster engagement with the next generation of leaders.

The 2022 Florida Legal Awards was held on May 19 at the Rusty Pelican in Miami.
