Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is pleased to announce that partners Kathleen Wu, Peter Weinstock and Kathleen Tarbox Muñoz have been named to D Magazine’s 2022 Best Lawyers in Dallas list.

Best Lawyers is a peer-review voting process. To compile the listing of the city's top attorneys for businesses, D Magazine editors conduct a citywide poll asking Dallas lawyers to nominate peers in their practice area whose work they most admire. A panel of lawyers then join the magazine’s Executive Editor in finalizing the list of Dallas’ top business attorneys.

The 2022 “Best Lawyers in Dallas” list will appear in the May issue of D Magazine, and will be available on the publication’s website, www.dmagazine.com, throughout the year.

Wu’s real estate transactions practice has a broad wingspan, serving a national clientele from Wall Street to California and crossing multiple industries and disciplines, including everything from hotel chains, governmental authorities, investment banks, and syndicators to real estate developers, lenders, loan servicers, and many other entities. With such a lofty reputation and loyal client base, she has maintained a spot on D Magazine’s Best Lawyers list since 2003.

Throughout his career, Weinstock has devoted substantial time to strategic planning, bank compensation and defense of enforcement matters, including concerning fair lending and BSA. As a corporate partner and co-leader of the Financial Institutions Section practice group, he has counseled institutions on more than 375 M&A transactions, hundreds of securities offerings, including over a dozen IPOs, and capital planning, over 50 de novo banks and hundreds of administrative and other enforcement actions. Weinstock is recognized as a leader in Legal: Payments and Lending nationwide by Chambers FinTech (2019-2022). Additionally, he is a recipient of the 2018 Game Changer Award by Finance Monthly Magazine and acted as lead counsel on The M&A Atlas Awards’ North American Corporate Deal of the Year.
