California Senate bill 358 requires equal pay for "substantially similar work" but according to Roland Juarez and Yves Nguyen, SB358 doesn't define what that means. The bill also eliminates the requirement that comparable employees be in the same establishment, so an employee working in one office location could challenge the wages paid to a male counterpart holding the same position at a different office location. Juarez and Nguyen are members of the firm’s global labor and employment practice.
