(Washington, DC)—On May 11, 2015, Inter-American Development Bank (“IDB”) closed on a US$50 million A/B loan facility to Bayport Colombia S.A.S. (“Bayport Colombia”).

The loan will be disbursed in the Peso equivalent of Dollars through a Dollar/Peso swap. Bayport Colombia will have the option to extend the maturity date of a portion of the syndicated B Loan subject to the receipt of an acceptable Dollar/Peso swap for such extension. The proceeds of the loan will be used by Bayport Colombia to originate loans to borrowers in Colombia, at least seventy five percent (75%) of whom earn up to or less than 3.6 times the minimum wage in Colombia.
