(Washington, DC)—On August 17, 2016, Inter-American Development Bank (“IDB”), acting through its agent, Inter-American Investment Corporation (“IIC”), closed on a US$40 million unsecured loan facility to Banco Société Générale Brasil S.A. (“SG Brasil”) and SG Equipment Finance S.A. Arrendamento Mercantil (“SGEF”).

The proceeds of the loan which consists of two tranches will be used by SGEF to finance leases of certain machinery, equipment and technology solutions produced or originating in IDB members countries.
