RICHMOND, Va. — August 16, 2011 — Hunton & Williams LLP announces the appointment of special counsel Allen C. Goolsby to the American Bar Association Board of Governors. Goolsby will serve a three-year term for District Four, representing Virginia and the District of Columbia, effective August 9. The ABA Board of Governors oversees the work of the Association on behalf of the legal profession and our judicial system and the many services and programs that the Association provides to its nearly 400,000 members.

"Allen is an exemplary role model for our lawyers," said Wally Martinez, managing partner of the firm. "Hunton & Williams is proud of the excellent work Allen has done and his tremendous achievements and contributions to the legal community."

Goolsby, who is resident in the firm's Richmond office, focuses his practice on corporate law, especially corporate governance, advising publicly held corporations and representing boards of directors and board committees.
