New York, NY, October 8, 2010 — Hunton & Williams LLP is pleased to announce that the firm received a perfect score in the Human Rights Campaign's annual "Corporate Equality Index." The civil rights organization, which advocates equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans, rated 844 private corporations and law firms in its 2011 report. Factors contributing to Hunton & Williams' top rating are its inclusive nondiscrimination policies, firmwide diversity training, domestic partner benefits, LGBT affinity group, and contributions to related community organizations. This is the second year in a row that the firm has received a 100 percent rating.

"Hunton & Williams values diversity and is committed to an inclusive workplace," said Wally Martinez, managing partner of the firm. "We see diversity as complementing our existing core values, and we are proud to have once again earned a perfect score in HRC's equality index.”

Hunton & Williams believes a diverse group of lawyers and staff allows the firm to better serve its clients, and maintains a vigorous Diversity Program to help attract a workforce representative of the firm's global practice.
